Included in the basic safari is:

The itinerary for the basic safari will be as follows:
Day 1 – You will be picked up from the airport and we will drive to Greater Kruger. You will arrive at your luxury lodge and will have some time to rest and get to know your surrounds. Later we will take a sunset game drive and will return to camp where dinner will be served.(Please keep in mind that the drive from JHB International airport to Greater Kruger will take around 5 hours)
Day 2 – You will spend the day on a morning game drive/bush walk in a big 5 reserve and have the opportunity to take photos, do bird watching and relaxing at the lodge after we had breakfast. Later we will have a sunset drive. After the sunset drive we will return to the lodge where dinner will be served.
Day 3 – Depart. We will book out of the lodge and you will be returned to the airport for departure.
Please note that tours can be extended and activities can be selected from the list below in case guests want to extend the tour to include some of the following activities. Prices will be given on quotation.
Overview of activities:
Game drives, bush walks and bird watching:
Greater Kruger is a wonderfully biodiverse big 5 area that forms part of the Kruger National Park. Greater Kruger was formed because of an agreement between private land owners around Kruger National perk to drop fences between them and the Kruger National park. This means that guests have access to all that is in Kruger National park, but since the properties are privately owned, it is far more exclusive and therefore gives the guest a far better adventure and service.
Activities like game drives, bush walks and bird watching will thus take place in a big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo) reserve under guidance of qualified, registered and armed guides. Game drives usually last for 2-3 hours and bush walks can last up to 4 hours. Bird watching can be done while out on game drives and bush walks, but also from the comfort and safety of hides and viewpoints in and around lodges or camps.
Wildlife rescue centre:
Moholoholo is situated at the foot of the spectacular Drakensberg Mountains just outside of Hoedspruit. It is a rehab centre for injured and poisoned wild animals that cannot be returned to the wild. Therefore there are a number of resident animals with whom the visitors can interact. There is also a long standing serval breeding project and a research project on leopards and vultures. A visit to this centre will leave visitors with memories and an experience of a lifetime.
Khemani Reptile Park is 15km outside Hoedspruit. Here you will get to know a bit more about exotic snakes and scaly lizards. Tours will give you a hands-on experience with animals. You will feed touch and photograph animals while learning interesting facts from your guide. You can expect to see: Black Mamba, Green Mamba, Boomslang, Mozambique Spitting Cobra, Puff Adder, Nile Crocodile, Baboon Spider, Water Lizards and Scorpions and many more.
Here the guests will learn about some of the oldest limestone caves in the world. The caves were discovered in 1923 by a local farmer searching for his cattle. The caves may stretch for over 40km but nobody knows their full extend. Guests will explore the first 2km with it’s wonderful dripstone formations. You will visit the Crystal Palace and Madonna Room. Guests will also learn how the caves got their name from a large stalactite that when struck, makes a sound that resonates even beyond the cave walls. Stone age artefacts were found here. These are now displayed in the local museum.
Guests will experience a 68m freefall at 180km/h in less than 3 seconds on one of the world’s highest cable gorge swings or fly across 135m high wire “foefie slide” You will witness the awesome Graskop Falls as never seen before.
With numerous spectacular viewpoints this route will leave guests with memories to last a lifetime. You will only believe it when you see it. You will see the Blyde River Canyon, Lisbon Falls, the potholes at Burke’s Luck, Three Rondawels and God’s window where you can walk in thick indigenous forest that stands amongst the clouds some 800m above the Blyde River Canyon. This will give you awesome photo opportunities.
On this excursion you will experience an abundance of wildlife while learning more about the Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon in the world. At 200m (660ft) in hight is the second tallest tufa waterfall in the world.
Guests will visit this historic mining town where you will see how early settlers lived and panned for gold. You will walk the same streets and see how they lived. Attractions available include: Museum, Bar, Hotel, War memorial, printing museum, diggings and many more. No description can truly capture the nostalgia, experience and sheer admiration of visiting Pilgrim’s Rest.
Tree Top Safari:
Guests will be taken into the previously unexplored realm of nature between platforms built high in the upper levels of indigenous forest and ancient cliffs. You will be guided by experienced and knowledgeable guides for an adventure of a lifetime.
Hot Air Balloon Ride:
These 1 hour flights take place at sunrise and guests should be at the launch site at least 30 minutes before sunrise. You will have wonderful game viewing opportunities as well as photographic opportunities. You will view the landscapes from around 2000m above the ground. Please notethat this activity is weather dependent and may not always be available.
Guest should be able to stand for at least an hour unassisted. Kids are welcome but should be at least 1.2m (4ft) tall to see over the basket. Guests should be able to climb in and out of basket unassisted. Regrettably not pregnant females are allowed.
Micro light flight:
Flights last around 30 minutes and take place at sunrise. Depending on weather flights may also be allowed during other times of the day.

Horseback Safari: (This activity is available near Johannesburg as well)
Booking should be done well in advance and prices and availability can only be confirmed upon booking.
Elephant interaction: (Activity near Johannesburg)
These activities start at 6:00 and interaction lasts for around 90 minutes. Guests will feed and interact with specific individuals and get to meet the heard.
Lion Interaction: (Activity near Johannesburg)
Visit a lion farm where you can interact with lion cubs. Here you will get to know a little bit more about these wonderful, social large cats and interact with cubs. You will also see the rare white lions and have wonderful photo opportunities.
River Rafting and Abseiling: (Activity near Johannesburg)
River rafting and abseiling is a combo. Here the guest will experience a two hour rafting excursion on the Crocodile River and also do an abseil down a 25 meter cliff. Minimum 4 guests for this activity. We will also enjoy a lunch here at a fully licensed restaurant. Guest should bring a dry change of clothes and towels for this excursion. Also limit the amount of equipment that could get lost or damaged on the river. Cell phones and wallets will be put in weather proof bags and are welcome.
Cheetah and wild dog centre: (Activity near Johannesburg)
We will drive to the town of Bela-Bela in the Limpopo province. You will pay a visit to a Cheetah and African Wild dog centre where you will get up close with these animals while taking a drive through their large enclosures. You will have wonderful photo opportunities. Activity starts at 10:00.
Zip line adventure: (Activity near Johannesburg)
We will drive to a Treetop safari where you will take 10 different Zip line rides to platforms in the tree tops. Here you can explore the wonderful natural world we never get to see. Rides vary from 70 – 230 meters long. This activity lasts about 2-3 hrs.
National Zoo: (Activity near Johannesburg)
The National Zoological Gardens of South Africa is the largest zoo in the country and the only one with national status. An Aquarium and Reptile Park also form part of the Zoo facility in Pretoria. The Aquarium is the largest inland marine aquarium in the country.
You will be picked up from a single muster point for all members and we will spend the day in our National zoo and get to see all sorts of wildlife that we often don’t get to see even when we spend time in nature. We will visit the aquarium and the zoo.
African Market: (Activity near Johannesburg)
